Router setup

Setting up your Mercku router depends on the following:

What kind of outlet port from the ISP network you have installed in your wall
Whether you’d like to setup the Mercku router as the only or a secondary network in your house or not

The Mercku router arrives with an Ethernet cable, RJ45 connector.

In order for the WTFast software to work the router has to operate in router mode

Options:

If your wall port is regular Ethernet port you can connect the Mercku to it with the RJ45 connector.
Alternatively you can connect the Ethernet cable to one of the LAN exits of your ISP router and connect the other end to the Mercku WAN port - creating two networks in your home
1. Optional: Then go to your ISP router interface and set it to Bridge mode. This will allow you to avoid a situation of a Double NAT (Network Address Translation)

A couple of options:

Usually WTFast software will come installed with the router.
If this is not the case:
1. For Beta Users please be in touch with the Beta Group manager in Discord.
2. For Partner - we’ll send you detailed instructions over the email.

WTFast router software can be controlled in two ways:

The Web App is the main User Interface for everyday usage and game acceleration (read about it in the following pages of the user manual)
The Control Page - this page is used for general health checks and troubleshooting. Its functionalities are:
1. Authenticating the router with the user account (more in the next guides)
2. Restarting WTFast router software - From time to time you might find a need to restart WTFast, this may happen if you experience issues in device detection / getting a game session or any other unexplained issue.
  After restart expect this:
  - Previous WTFast logs will be deleted! - if you need to extract those logs to help us investigate your issues please do it previous to a restart
  - Once the WTFast software starts over - WTFast will automatically set itself to listen again to the same device and game that it was listening to before the reboot!! (if this was the case).
    Please consider this when going back to interact with the WTFast Web App.
  - WTFast softwae on the router is still in Beta! Please consider waiting 1-2 after restart before trying to make any operation.

In order to troubleshoot the router in case of issues or if feedback should be provided to the WTFast team.

How does a router reboot effect the WTFast software that runs on it?

Whenever there are severe or unexplained issues it always good to perform a router reboot.

A reboot will:

Reset the WTFast router software
Upon reset previous WTFast logs will be deleted! - if you need to extract those logs to help us investigate your issues please do it previous to the reboot
Once the WTFast software starts over - WTFast will automatically set itself to listen again to the same device and game that it was listening to before the reboot!! (if this was the case).
Please consider this when going back to interact with the WTFast Web App.

WTFast softwae on the router is still in Beta! Please consider waiting 1-2 after reboot (or just plain software restart) after the router is back online before trying to make any operation.

Accessing to the router's file system and running command lines using WinSCP

WinSCP provide an easy way to interface with the router. Here is how to use it:

Download WinSCP from their website - https://winscp.net/eng/index.php

After installation create a new session (make sure your PC is connected to the router's network):

SAVE - for faster access

If you need to run some command lines- there's a terminal for that
