titleDevice detection & device type automatic identification
Info

Recommended -
When you setup your router with WTFast, don’t connect any device to it until you want to start adding your consoles.
Once you do, connect each console separately and make sure it has the right Device Type.

Alternatively - if you already irrelevant devices in your list please see Offline status section below

  1. Once the router is authenticated WTFast starts looking for connected devices in your network.

  2. Please allow 2-3 for this operation to complete every time you connect a new device - as we are still in Beta this might take a bit of time.

  3. A device is discovered and then move to initialize status. This might be very quick or take a few seconds.

  4. The end state for a device is online status. If your device reached this status it means WTFast is ready to listen to traffic that comes from this device

  5. Device Type - The correct device type is necessary for the proper operation of our software.

    1. WTFast makes an effort to identify the correct device type. But this automatic identification is not guarantied to be correct - its the user responsibility to make sure the Device Type is correct!

    2. Hovering over the Device Status will display the device IP and MAC address. This can be used to validate the entry in this card in case it is not clear.
